Interpreting the lyrics, I feel like this song is about falling out of love with someone. Because the person he used to love is no longer the one he fell on love with. Breaking of a bond/marriage. He has hard time letting go. And i feel that crunching guitar riff repeating itself, represents his back amd forth restless thoughts of ending the relationship.

Hard to believe I would have never heard of these guys if I didn’t take a risk and for a drive with a stranger a long time ago. Hard to imagine things without them as I brought this band into my group of friends too. Most are no longer with us so it really takes me back, in a powerful sad way.

Donald Tardy is so fun to listen to on drums. Made a note how cool it is he doesn't use blast beats but he plays like a thrasher. Perfect, meaty snare sound and everything is spot on. Not super-complicated but his double bass sounds like a machine gun and he does what needs to be done on Obituary tracks. I'll take him in my band over guys like Sandoval and Mick Harris even though they play more technical stuff. Just my thoughts. Peace.
